Department of Defence R&D’s budget over the years

DRDO works with a financial allocation of about 5.2 per cent of the country’s defence budget which is very modest in comparison to established global leaders like USA, UK, Israel, etc. DDR&D’s budget over the years is shown in data file. During the XII FYP period (2012-2017), for financial year 2012-13, DD R&D was allocated a fund of Rs 5,201.93 Cr and Rs4,683.01 Cr under Revenue and Capital Heads, respectively, amounting to Rs 9,884.94 Cr. For the financial year 2013-14, a total of Rs 10,610.17 Cr has been allocated of which Rs 5,552.57 Cr is in Revenue and Rs 5,057.60 Cr in Capital.
